§ 2-75. Social security.

The county is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the board of trustees of the Virginia Retirement System whereby the social security system established by Title II of the federal Social Security Act, as amended, shall be extended to services performed by individuals as officers and employees of the county. Such extension being pursuant to and in accordance with section 218 of the federal Social Security Act, and the chairman of the board of supervisors is authorized to execute the plan of agreement between the county and such trustees.
