In order to provide for certain uses which because of their unique characteristics
are not generally permitted as a matter of right in the various zoning districts,
these uses are designated as conditional uses and may be permitted in certain districts
subject to conformance with the provisions of this article. This article is established
for the purpose of ensuring compatibility of conditional uses with surrounding uses,
promoting the county comprehensive plan and protecting the health, safety and general
welfare of the public.
